Workshop: Allyship in the context of racism

Racism is not an isolated incident, but is firmly anchored in our society. Nevertheless, we often react with excessive demands or defense. As part of the "Colonialism in Witzenhausen" seminar, we want to create a space to talk about racism and discrimination. To do this, we have to confront our own privileges and want to ask ourselves how we can take a stand. We can then work out concrete options for action in the context of racism.

The workshop will take place with the speaker Michelle Bray. The working method is deliberately slow and interactive. To enable us to work together, a Brave Space - an open and discrimination-critical discussion space - will be created in which uncertainties can be reflected upon. The workshop language is German.
