On 16.05.2026 at 20:00, the play "vor die hunde (UA)" will be shown at the Staatstheater Kassel, which deals with the intertwined history of Germany and Brazil.

Following the performance, there will be a follow-up discussion with Laura Kohlmaier (dramaturge) and Johnny Ibraimo (project coordinator for the remembrance concept) on the history of the former German Colonial School in Witzenhausen. Colonists set out from Witzenhausen for overseas territories under the motto "With God for Germany's honor, at home and over the sea". We will discuss what this place has meant over time and how this legacy is dealt with.
