07/05/2025 | Further training

Cooperation with Tunisian partner universities

As part of a long-standing cooperation with Université Carthage, 12 students and 3 lecturers from the National Agronomic Institute of Tunisia (INAT) and the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of Nabeul (FSEGN) visited the Faculty 11 (June 28–July 5, 2025).

On the topic of “Organic and sustainable farming practices in Germany,” excursions offered insights into practical applications, e.g. the University’s Frankenhausen State Domain, the Neu-Eichenberg university experimental site, the Frau Holle-Land nature park, and the Fuldaaue community-supported agriculture project. The visit to the Kassel Regional Council focused on regional agricultural management. In addition to getting to know the faculty, participants also gained insight into current research topics such as field trials on adaptation to low rainfall (e.g. tomatoes), climate modeling, agroecological transformation, and agroforestry systems.

The training week was coordinated by the Department of International Agricultural Policy and Environmental Governance, supported by the Agrartrans project (Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education). The exchange was funded by Erasmus+ and other project funds.
