The botanist PD Dr. Stefan Schneckenburger has worked in botanical gardens for over 35 years and served as President of the Association of Botanical Gardens. His experience ranges from international species conservation to questions of the history of science. He will talk about the role of botanical gardens then and now, about empires and colonial botany.
