Dr. Mabele is a conservation social scientist whose work explores the governance of human–environment interactions in tropical ecosystems through political ecology and decolonial lenses. His research highlights how conservation practices can reproduce socio-ecological injustices and invites us to rethink how conservation can better serve both people and ecosystems.
