The long-distance railway station is Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe. You can also reach Kassel-Hauptbahnhof via regional transport. You can find train connections at www.bahn.de.
Approach from the north:
Take the A7 to the Drammetal junction. Change there to the A38 in the direction of Halle/Leipzig/Nordhausen. Take exit 3 "Friedland". Follow the B27 in the direction of Bad Hersfeld/Eschwege. After a short time you will reach the B80, which will take you directly through Witzenhausen.
Coming from the south and west
Take the A7 to exit 75 "Hann.Münden - Werratal" and now follow the B80 to Witzenhausen.
