Hydraulic ram

At the experimental site for solar and irrigation technology there is a hydraulic ram, which is able to lift part of the water 12 m high at an gradient of 5 m. The invention succeeded the Frenchman Mongolfier 1796, at a time when there was no gasoline or electricity, and the steam engine, was just 31 years old, heavy, fragile and expensive. An ingenious invention for water lifting . Why awesome? It works without energy supply day and night, and where it can be used, it is  ecologically unbeatable.
