Work in the field of research:

We offer students on Bachelor's and Master's degree courses in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, computer science and related subjects the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the practice of scientific research during their studies. The research carried out by the Department of Structural Analysis also gives rise to interesting questions and tasks for Bachelor's and Master's theses.

As part of the HIWI activity, the student will work on smaller sub-projects in close  cooperation with a member of our department. Prerequisites for the HiWi position are analytical thinking, curiosity and programming skills.

The scope of employment can be determined individually. The hourly wage from April 2024 is € 13.46 or € 14.46 (see below). You would mainly work in the department's workrooms; a specially equipped PC lab with appropriate equipment is available.

Work in the field of teaching:

Tutors are needed to conduct tutorials as part of the courses Baustatik I and Baustatik II. If you have completed these courses with an above-average grade and are motivated and reliable, please contact us.

Working as a HIWI tutor will automatically train and develop your teaching skills.

Alternatively, you have the opportunity to contribute to the creation of lecture and exercise materials as part of a HIWI job. The recruitment requirement for this is knowledge of LaTeX.

Remuneration:

The hourly rate is from April 2024

-               €14.46 (student assistants with a first degree) Assistants who have a first professionally qualifying degree)
