Our aim is to turn you into the future cycling experts that the mobility industry urgently needs as part of the ongoing socio-ecological transformation. We offer a wide range of lectures and seminars, for example in the fields of planning and traffic psychology. Our courses are aimed at students from various degree programmes and are both scientifically sound and practice-oriented - we have already conducted excursions to Amsterdam, Utrecht, Copenhagen and Ethiopia and also co-organized the Kassel Cycling Weeks "Cycassel" together with students in an interdisciplinary seminar. You can find specific information on our courses below.

Social and climatic changes require sustainable strategies for future-oriented urban development. Students deal with the challenge of mobility- and climate-adapted neighborhood development based on the specific study area Schillerquartier in Kassel. The project is a collaboration between the departments of cycling and local mobility (civil and environmental engineering) and urban renewal and planning theory (urban and regional planning). In the field of tension between existing buildings - mobility turnaround - climate adaptation, the course combines the expertise of both departments and focuses on an interdisciplinary, practical and user-centered approach to the design of cycling and pedestrian traffic facilities and conception on a neighborhood scale.

We want to get people beyond the university excited about cycling and make sustainable mobility visible.
If you enjoy organization, teamwork and creative project design or would like to contribute your own ideas, this seminar is the right place for you! The seminar is interdisciplinary, so that students from the social sciences core study program, from the sports teaching degree program, from the mobility, transport and infrastructure master's program, from sustainable economics and other disciplines take part in the seminar together.
