SIMFLEX as Control Station

A feature of the factory simulator SIMFLEX/2 is to operate as a control station to control the flow of material in manufacturing plants. For the demonstration of this feature in the field of of production systems, a full-scale model factory was developed. This electromechanical model technology consists of typical flow of technical elements e.g. machines, conveyers, switch plate, trolley etc.. The model plant is not only used as a demonstration object, but also serves as training object in the practical course of the lectures SSY1 and 2.

The factory simulator SIMFLEX/2 was used for the first time as control station at the Volkswagens AG for training purposes in the project "Fundamentals of the computer-integrated factory".
