Founded in the summer of 2017, CELA is a center for research with and on Latin America in Kassel. The research center brings together Latin American studies at the University of Kassel and represents this research as an institution at the regional, national, and international levels. CELA sees itself as an interdisciplinary research center open to various forms of collaboration. For international partners and Latin American colleagues interested in collaborating with Kassel, CELA serves as a point of contact and supports the initiation of projects through its network.
