Artificial and Hybrid Intelligence

Artificial and Hybrid Intelligence and Their Integration into the Social System

In the “Artificial and Hybrid Intelligence” research area, the ITeG investigates the socially desirable design and integration of AI into sociotechnical systems. Hybrid systems cannot function without targeted interaction with humans, giving rise to a qualitatively new type of human-technology interaction. Hybrid intelligence refers to the combination of human intelligence and artificial intelligence, leveraging their respective strengths and weaknesses to achieve better results. This interplay between human and artificial intelligence gives rise to a multitude of interesting research questions that we at the ITeG are already investigating or hope to investigate in the future.
