Arcadie Botnaru is a PhD candidate and research associate at the Kassel Institute for Sustainability. With a background bridging the social sciences and the arts, and experience facilitating non-formal educational programs across Moldova and Romania, Arcadie’s praxis is grounded in commitments to social justice and ecological equity. His work draws on experiential and art-based (non)methodologies informed by 'post' and new materialist thought. In his academic inquiry, Arcadie seeks to unsettle entrenched humanistic and positivist paradigms by advocating for more dynamic, transversal, and relational modes of knowledge co-creation. His work aims to cultivate genuinely novel ways of thinking-doing-living ‘a life’ (Deleuze, 2005).
