Newsletter and mailing lists

  • Info Ticker of the Council for Information Infrastructures (RfII)
The RfII Info Ticker offers a quick and informal overview of developments in science under the influence of digital change. It evaluates reports on information infrastructures and research data, education and universities, developments relevant to science and funding policy, changes in libraries and publication systems as well as legal, technical, economic and scientific developments resulting from the digital transformation. Information on current events from this range of topics completes the information offered.
  • Mailing list "Handling research data"
This open mailing list provides information and discussion on all relevant
topics relating to the handling of research data. Relevant topics are e.g: Organization and

Networks

  • HERMES doctoral network
The HERMES doctoral network is aimed specifically at doctoral students from the humanities and cultural sciences who work with digital data. The network serves as a platform for professional exchange and further training and thus supports doctoral students from the beginning to the defense.

The National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) with its 29 subject-specific consortia provides both central and discipline-specific sources of information on research data management.

  • News section of the NFDI
This page lists current news from the NFDI.
  • Newsletter of the NFDI
The newsletter provides you with a monthly overview of current activities, milestones and dates relating to the NFDI. The newsletter is always published on the last Monday of the month.
The website also lists all the newsletters of the NFDI consortia.
  • NFDI Talks
In our NFDI talks, we provide insights into the diversity of NFDI. Experts from various departments talk about research data management topics, new services, use cases and more. The online talks are held regularly on Mondays from 4 to 5 pm and are usually in English. The talks are broadcast live on YouTube and archived afterwards on our NFDI channel.

Subject-specific information sources

  • Survey Data Blog
This blog is a project by people who work with social science survey data in research data centers, for example. The knowledge required there at the interface between computer-aided data analysis and applied computer science is rarely part of academic training. The insights gained there are also rarely the subject of scientific publications. This blog is intended to help fill these gaps and open up a space for the exchange of knowledge.
  • DARIAH-DE website
DARIAH-DE (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) is an initiative to create a digital research infrastructure for the humanities and cultural studies. For that purpose, DARIAH-DE supports research in the humanities and cultural studies that works with digital methods and procedures with a research infrastructure consisting of four pillars: Teaching, Research, Research Data, and Technical components.

Selected or target group-specific information will also reach you via the VP Research newsletter, the Graduate Academy mailing list and your subject liaisonlibrarians.
