This Moodle course offers you a workshop on creating data management plans. It will answer questions such as: "What is a data management plan? Why is it important? What does it look like and what information does it contain? What is KaDMO and how do I use it?"

The chapters build on each other thematically. It is recommended that you complete the course in the order given.

  4. Storing data securely
  5. Archiving data and making it accessible
  6. Reuse: researching and integrating existing data
  7. AI-supported creation of data management plans

Target audience

  • Experimental researchers (professors, research assistants, doctoral students) who produce, analyze and later share data themselves, and possibly also reuse other data
  • Students who want to create a data management plan for their Bachelor's or Master's thesis
  • Teachers, also for use in their courses
