INCHER Research Colloquium: František Bartoš speaks about "Effect of artificial intelligence on learning: A meta-meta-analysis"

František Bartoš is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Psychological Methods at the University of Amsterdam and cofounder and CFO of JASP Services. His goal is to improve statistical procedures and enable researchers to draw better inferences from data. He is interested in Bayesian statistics, meta-analyses, publication bias, and replicability.

Authors Abstract:

Artificial intelligence and large language models are believed to revolutionize education. This claim is seemingly supported by empirical evidence from dozens of meta-analyses reporting large and statistically significant average effects of AI/LLMs on learning outcomes. In this talk, I summarize evidence from 72 meta-analyses and challenge these findings.

Venue: The seminar will only take place online.

If you would like to join via Zoom, Susanne Koch will be happy to provide you with the necessary information.
