TiSun (Söll) is an important Austrian company producing solar thermal collectors and systems. Mr. Robin M. Welling, Chief Executive Officer of Tisun and President of the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation, welcomed the Shine group and gave them an overview of the last developments in the solar thermal field. He guided the group throughout the collector production lines of the company.

Heliotherm (Langkampfen) is a company specialized in the production of heat pumps. The founder and CEO, Mr. Andreas Bangheri gave a presentation of the activities and products of the company. Small groups were then guided throughout the different production lines and test laboratories of Heliotherm.

Siko Solar (Jenbach) is a family company working in the field of solar technologies and heat pumps. They are specialized in producing solar thermal collectors with unconventional sizes. Arthur Sief, CEO, introduced the activities that are covered by his company. A few weeks before, Siko Solar established the record of building the largest solar thermal collector in the world (70 m²).

Low-energy buildings (Innsbruck): To conclude the day, the SHINE group visited the technical facilities of a cluster of low-energy passive buildings, recently built in Innsbruck for social housing.
