Arrival and Departure

The international airport nearest to Kassel is Frankfurt am Main. Trains from the airport to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe train station depart approximately every half hour and take about 1,5 to 3 hours.

On Saturday, June 24, a member of the ISU Team will pick you up at the airport, go with you to the ticket counter, and help you find your train to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe. You will meet the ISU Team member at the official aiport Meeting Point at Terminal 1 (see airport map ca. 650 kB).

In case you come on another day, it is very easy to find your way to the German Railway Information counter and your the train station, both located at Terminal 1 (see airport map ca. 650 kB). At the German Railway Information counter you can buy your ticket and get all the information you need to travel to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe train station.

Departure from Frankfurt airport to Kassel Wilhelmshöhe train station:

With the Inter City Express (ICE) from the station for long-distance trains (see airport map ca. 650 kB) for 46 Euro one way. Duration 1,5-2 h.

or

With the Regionalexpress from the station for regional trains (see airport map ca. 650 kB) for 25 Euro one way. If you take the Regionalexpress you have to buy the Hessenticket. Please note: Up to five persons can travel on one Hessenticket. The more people you are the cheaper it gets for every single person. Duration: 2,5-3 h.

In Kassel:

After your arrival at Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe train station, a member of the ISU team or your host family will pick you up at the station.

In case you need any information at the station just ask the staff at the German Railway Information counter in the center of the entrance hall.

Departure from Kassel:

For your trip to Frankfurt Airport please use the same stations as on arrival. The duration and the prices will be similar.
