The Department of Construction, Technology and Real Estate (Dept. V) is responsible for the campus maps and location information, while the University Library is responsible for maintaining the content related to the University Library.

The technical implementation and payment is carried out by the IT Service Center.

Mapongo offers digital maps and orientation aids for university buildings and locations.

Digital orientation system for buildings and campus areas. All university locations are already listed in mapongo. Lecture halls and seminar rooms are recorded with room numbers for the entire university across all locations. This makes it easier for new students to find their way around and to quickly locate events at the various university locations. At Kassel University Library, the system's 3D representation of all accessible areas such as shelf space, study areas and services provides excellent conditions for finding your way around the building. In addition, mapongo facilitates the search for individual media and, in particular, shows the way to the book. Items found in the KARLA catalog portal that are located in the rooms of the library in question are marked with the link "Show media location on map", which uses mapongo to mark the shelf area where the item you are looking for is located.
