The University of Kassel has concluded a Campus Wide Suite contract with Mathworks as of October 30, 2020. This enables all members of the University of Kassel to use the MATLAB and Simulink software with all available toolboxes for research and teaching. The contract will be extended again until 31.10.2025. If you are notified of the expiration of the license, please contact MathWorks directly [external].

The license can be used to download, install and use MathWorks products on university computers and private devices.

Attention:
If you have already concluded existing maintenance contracts for MathWorks software, these remain suspended under the MathWorks License Suspension Policy and can be continued after termination of the campus contract, taking into account the individual contract expiration dates.

MATLAB provides its users with both an intuitive programming language and an interactive programming environment for the modeling of mathematical algorithms, the analysis and graphical representation of data and numerical calculations. Thanks to its graphical interface, Simulink enables the modeling and simulation of complex dynamic systems. In addition, students can use the license to access over 100 other customized MathWorks software solutions [external] for data analysis, image processing or work on artificial intelligence.
