Tisoware (time recording / access control)
Overview
1. basic information
Software solution for time recording, access control and personnel resource planning. Used for time recording, vacation management and evaluation of attendance and absences in the university sector.
The time recording software is aimed at employees with time sheets, especially those in administrative or technical areas where working time must be recorded and documented.
The IT Service Center is responsible for the operation and technical support of Tisoware. The HR department is generally responsible for questions relating to the content of time recording.
2. brief description
Tisoware enables the digital recording and management of working hours, vacation requests and absences within the university. Employees can manage their time recording, absence planning and personal data independently via a user-friendly interface. The software also supports supervisors and HR departments with clear evaluations, approval processes and transparent staff scheduling.
There are currently no alternative systems available for personnel time recording.
3. main functions
Time recording: Recording of clock-in, clock-out and break times directly via the web interface or optionally via stationary terminals.
Time account overview: Insight into personal time accounts including overtime, absences and remaining vacation.
Absence requests: Requesting and managing leave, flexitime or business trips with digital approval function.
Reports & evaluations: Automatic generation of time statements for employees and managers.
Access authorizations: Role-specific access (e.g. employees, line managers, HR department).
4th deployment scenario
An employee in the technical service documents the daily working hours via a Tisoware terminal when entering and leaving the building.
A clerkin administration applies for leave via the web interface and can view the current leave entitlement directly.
5. technical requirements
A current browser (e.g. Firefox, Chrome) is required to use the web application. When using terminals, identification usually takes place via the CampusCard.
6. use and access
Persons with a UniAccount who are obliged to record their working hours automatically receive access to Tisoware. Login is via the UniAccount. Access is via the internal URL: https: //tisoware.uni-kassel.de (only accessible in the university network or via VPN).
In order to be able to use the Campuscard for electronic time recording, it must first be initialized. For this purpose, it is necessary to present the Campuscard to the Department of Human Resources and Organization before using it for the first time.

9. special notes (data protection, terms of use)
Working time data is recorded and processed in accordance with the applicable data protection guidelines. Access to personal data is restricted on a role basis. Data transmissions are encrypted.
Tisoware is a commercial software solution from tisoware Gesellschaft für Zeitwirtschaft mbH. It is used within the framework of an institutional license. The application is operated in accordance with the university's labor law requirements.
