Overview

Content management system for creating and maintaining websites. Used for central websites, editorial content and structured information provision.
University employees can use Typo3 for institution-related websites and/or for research projects as well as conferences and meetings.
The system is operated jointly by the IT Service Center and the Communications and Marketing department.
2. brief description
With TYPO3 you can manage your content easily and efficiently - without any programming knowledge. You can add, edit and clearly structure texts, images and other media via a user-friendly interface.
Software alternatives for the creation and maintenance of websites are not offered.

- Easy content maintenance: add, edit and structure texts, images, videos and other media
- Intuitive user interface: drag-and-drop functionality and clear menu navigation
- Multilingual content: Support for different languages and translation functions
- Scheduled publishing: content can be scheduled in advance and published or deactivated automatically

5. technical requirements
You need any web browser. We recommend using Firefox.
6. use and access
You need an account that has been explicitly activated for you. You can then log in with your university account from the university network. Accounts are assigned on a departmental or "instance-related" basis. Further information can be found in the online manual under

Website maintenance training courses
The training courses are usually booked out quickly. They are administered by the Training and Development department of Human Resources Development.

What do I have to consider as an editor?
