IT service desk and IT help desk in ITS
Welcome to the IT Service Desk and IT Helpdesk at the University of Kassel! We are your first point of contact for all IT matters and offer comprehensive first-level support to help you with your technical problems and questions.
Our student assistants provide support with general IT issues, e.g. password problems, eduroam connection, etc. Our team is committed to providing you with the best possible service and solving your IT problems efficiently and professionally. We look forward to helping you!

Important notes
- Private end devices: Please note that we cannot provide support for private end devices.
- Device related issues:
- UKC users are requested to contact the IT service desk directly to have a qualified ticket recorded.
- For device-related problems of "non-UKC" users, IT coordinators in the individual departments are available to provide further assistance. Please note that the ITS cannot take over the tasks of the IT coordinators, even in the event of vacation/sickness.
- Ticket system: For all requests that cannot be resolved immediately, we will create a corresponding ticket or refer you to the responsible department to ensure that your request is processed as quickly as possible. Send us an e-mail to it-servicedesk[at]uni-kassel[dot]de or use our contact form to submit a ticket yourself.
- Passwords: Please note that according to the IT user regulations, passwords may not be passed on - not even to our employees.
- Solving inquiries: We ask for your understanding that we cannot solve every IT problem immediately. Our IT service desk offers comprehensive first-level support, but for more complex or specialized issues, we forward them to our colleagues or refer them to the relevant department. We do everything we can to help you quickly and efficiently and work closely with the relevant departments to process your inquiries in the best possible way.
