The great campus, nice people and a practical mechanical engineering course - it was love at first sight!

I had the best time of my life at the University of Kassel. I made friends for life there and we have fond memories of our great time studying at the university.

Whether it was math lectures at half past six in the morning or working on the Formula Student racing car at 10 p.m. in the evening - my studies were always varied and fun, not least because of the dedicated lecturers. In addition to exciting excursions, e.g. to Munich, and legendary university parties, interesting lectures and the experience I was able to gain in the Formula Student team provided lasting motivation. The races in Hockenheim were always a highlight of the year - what a great feeling it was to finally see the car drivel My journey into the world of foundry technology began in the Master's degree with a specialization in foundry technology at the GTK Institute: in addition to a lot of basic theoretical knowledge and initial experience with numerical casting and solidification simulation as well as CAD design, it was interesting to dismantle a car and examine its cast parts. All in all, it was a great preparation for my future career. Together with my work as a CAD tutor, I could only end up at MAGMA GmbH, where I can put my specialist knowledge to optimum use. Today I work there as Technical Leader of the MAGMAacademy in the area of casting simulation and coaching as well as quality systems and I really enjoy this interface between people and technology.

I would like to say a big thank you for all the support and everything that has been made possible for me - at the University of Kassel you are not just a student number, here you are seen and specifically supported.
