Students and trainees of the Woco Group visit the laboratory

At various stations, guests were able to experience hands-on how modern technologies are changing the world of work: From 3D scanning and virtual simulations to augmented reality in education and training. The question of how these technologies can be used in the automotive industry was particularly exciting.
The AR welding trainer, which shows how practical digital learning can be, aroused great interest. The guests were also able to try out human-robot collaboration, assistance systems for manual assembly processes and the use of exoskeletons, ask questions and contribute their own experiences - because VR is already being used in training at the Woco Group and AR is no longer a foreign concept.
Another highlight was the visit to the CAVE, where the participants were able to take a virtual walk around Kassel's Königsplatz. They also got to know the humanoid robot Nao and the two service robots Pepper and Tiago. Videos on human reactions to robots in public spaces provided a practical insight. Finally, with the help of an age simulation suit, the guests were able to experience on their own bodies what physical limitations feel like in old age - a thought-provoking change of perspective.
