One focus of industrial contract research and services is experimental fatigue analysis. For this purpose, several servo-hydraulic test rigs on vibration-isolated clamping fields are available, which allow long-term tests under operating load collectives and multi-axial loading. Test benches are also developed and configured to customer specifications. The tests can be instrumented with strain gauge measurement technology, among other things. Also available are a modern 3D image correlation (DIC) method for contact-free detection of distortions on component surfaces and a high-speed camera. Rotational test rigs offer the possibility to perform high speed tests or wear measurements on rotating components in an instrumented manner. Commercial servo-hydraulic testing machines allow tension-compression and torsion loads up to 1000 kN and 1000 Nm. A rapid tensile test rig and a drop tower are available for investigations of highly dynamic impact loading. The latter allows an impact of a test mass of 500 kg at up to 40 km/h.
