On November 6 and 7, students from the Department of Environmental Engineering at the University of Nariño, Colombia, accompanied by Dr. Rojas Peña, visited the Institute of Materials Engineering and the Institute of Physics at the University of Kassel via DAAD (Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst).
On day one, they were invited to a guided tour of laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, after being presented current topics of research by several departments. The day ended in festive mood at the Campus Club Kassel with an "Arabic Sounds" evening. 
Day two continued at the Institut of Physics at Campus Heinrich-Plett-Str. with scientific presentations and lab tours by Prof. Camilo Florian Baron, combining our group "Extreme Light for Nanostructures" and Prof. Baumerts "Femtosecondspectroscopy and Ultrafast Laser Control", and Prof. Mikosh with his topic of "Structural Molecular Dynamics". All three groups use femtosecond laser systems for applications like material processing and spectroscopy.
