Review: Study and CareerTalk with sera GmbH

In the first edition of the new format Study and CareerTalk, sera GmbH from Immenhausen presented itself in August 2023.

"For students, this offers opportunities to make initial contacts with HR managers, to agree on specific topics for bachelor's or master's theses, or to enter into an open dialog about trainee positions and specific application processes. And companies get to know potential junior staff for their specialist departments," informs Frauke Syring, HESSENMETALL Nordhessen.

"The special thing about the online talk is that the view is already opened during the studies for professional entry opportunities after graduation from university. At the same time, the motivation to successfully complete the studies in the allotted time is increased," adds Sandra Drozdowski from the student marketing department of the University of Kassel.

The first "Study and CareerTalk" kicked off with the family-owned company sera from Immenhausen. After the company presentation, human resources managers Svenja Schneider and Stefanie Vogel went into specific job postings and application procedures: "As an environmental technology company, we are looking for bright minds who would like to work with us in the areas of hydrogen, compressor and dosing technology to provide added value for people and the environment."

He added that meaningful unsolicited applications are always welcome. The event highlighted how valuable the exchange can be for students' personal and professional development.
