Gender-Equitable Appointment Procedures

Transparency and mandatory criteria ensure quality and equity between women and men in the appointment of professors. Integrating equal opportunity measures into the recruitment process contributes to conducting gender-equitable appointment procedures. The University of Kassel has issued general guidelines on how to conduct appointment procedures. The active recruitment of qualified female academics is of particular importance.

    The online database FemConsult compiled by the Competence Centre Women in Science and Research (CEWS) contains the current qualification profiles of more than 3,000 female scientists with doctorates and habilitations in all disciplines from German-speaking countries.

    The AcademiaNet research portal contains profiles of highly qualified female academics from all disciplines, individual search options (including by subject area and field of work) and the latest news on the topic of "Women in Science".
