Vienna Day 1

Well rested, we took the streetcar to the Marx-Halle with a lot of luggage. The journey took 35 minutes.

In Bari, check-in was also at 13:00. When we arrived at 12:00, half of the teams were already registered. Based on this experience, we arrived at the Marx-Halle shortly before 12:00 noon. But the clocks run differently here. Check-in at 13:00 means that it doesn't start until 1:00 PM! So a little more time to explore the surroundings.

The basilica-style hall was built at the end of the 19th century as a cattle market and is, in my opinion, a very beautiful hall. The acoustics alone are not designed for an event like the RoboCup: very loud and very reverberant. Nevertheless, the teams have plenty of space.

Hopefully the competition will be much more exciting than the Opening Ceremony. There was still plenty of room for improvement. Especially when it comes to amplifying the voices.

Tomorrow is the real start! Uh, well, there will only be three rounds. That's a bit thin. Although 10 runs, like at the DM, is clearly too many.
