Computer Science (B.Sc.)
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program takes seven semesters (3.5 years) as a rule, and can be supplemented by a three-semester master program. We offer a typical computer science curriculum, with some focus on technical aspects. The program starts with mandatory courses on electrical engineering, programming, computer architecture etc. Later students choose courses according to their interests and some rules from the "Modulhandbuch". The curriculum includes a mandatory industrial placement of nine weeks, project work within the university, and a bachelor thesis of nine weeks. Further information can be found on the department's student information pages.
Note that almost all courses are in German. Before sending an application, foreign applicants must have passed Goethe-Zertifikat C1 to prove knowledge of German. Moreover, a certificate equivalent to the German "Abitur" is required. Please read carefully the university's information pages for foreign applicants (including subpages) before sending an application.
