The basic membership fee for General University Sports is just €2.50 per month for students and employees of the University of Kassel. Guests can purchase a membership for €8.00 per month. If this date falls on a weekend or a holiday, the fee will be deducted on the following business day. The fee is always deducted via direct debit at the beginning of the month. The minimum term is one month, and membership can be canceled with two weeks’ notice effective at the end of the month.

Basic Monthly Fee

The Fit & Healthy Card is required to participate in all fitness and health-related sports programs. It includes the basic membership for General University Sports. If you already have a basic membership, please send a brief email to hochschulsport@uni-kassel.de to update your membership status. It also allows you to participate in all courses in the digital course program #UniKasselVersitätStaysFit. The monthly fee for the Fit & Gesund Card is €5.00 for students and employees of the University of Kassel, as well as members of the Friends of the University Association. Guests can purchase membership for €15.00 per month. The fee is always deducted via SEPA direct debit at the beginning of each month. The minimum term is one month, and membership can be canceled with two weeks’ notice by the end of the month. Membership continues even if you do not take any courses; therefore, you must actively cancel it yourself.

Monthly Fee

Located in the Institute for Sports and Sports Science building,UNIfit offers a full range of fitness programs in a 350-square-meter training area, providing the ideal conditions for effective and varied fitness training.UNIfit is a program offered by the General University Sports Department for students and employees of the University of Kassel. However, members of the Friends of Kassel University Sports Association (Freunde des Kasseler Hochschulsports e.V.), partner organizations, and guests are also welcome. We’re here for you Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM! You’ll find us at Damaschkestr. 25, in the green building of the Institute for Sports and Sports Science.

UNIfit is closed on holidays.

The General University Sports water sports pass serves as your admission ticket to the University of Kassel’s paddling and rowing area on the Fulda River. Inaugurated in the summer of 2016, the university’s own boathouse at Auedamm 27a in Kassel features a large fleet of rowing boats and kayaks. To help you acquire the basics, we naturally offer a comprehensive range of courses. In addition to water sports-specific beginner courses, advanced water sports enthusiasts will also find an “all-inclusive package” that even extends to “competitive racing.”

The monthly water sports pass, which includes AHS membership, costs just 16.50 EUR per month for university affiliates and Friends of the University members, and 24.00 EUR for guests of the University of Kassel (including basic membership in General University Sports). After a minimum one-month term, the validity of the water sports pass is automatically extended by one additional month. If you already have basic membership, please send a brief email to hochschulsport@uni-kassel.de to update your membership status.

The annual water sports pass has a minimum term of 12 months. For university affiliates and Friends of the University members, it costs 12.50 EUR per month (also including basic membership in General University Sports). Guests can purchase the annual water sports pass for 20.00 EUR per month. After the minimum term of 12 months has expired, the validity of the water sports pass is automatically extended by one additional month at a time.

The following applies to all water sports activities:

• You must always follow the instructors’ instructions
• You must be able to swim in open water at all times
• The rule of keeping to the right applies on the water

Please note that weather conditions may lead to restrictions on course operations during the winter months. In such cases, we will of course strive to offer alternative—yet still water sports-specific—activities for water sports pass holders.

You can, of course, register online or in person at our AHS office.

You can register via our website starting on the dates listed below. In-person registration is available during the office’s business hours (Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). After successfully registering, each participant will receive an access card. You must always bring this card—and your student ID, if applicable—to all events.
