1983 Foundation of the Interdisciplinary Working Group on Elementary School Pedagogy (IAG).


The goal was to counteract the isolation of the subjects in teacher training for elementary school teachers.

2009 Transformation of the IAG into "Unit of Interdisciplinary Elementary Education" (RInG).

The RInG becomes a unit of the Center for Teacher Education.

The Interdisciplinary Working Group on Elementary School Pedagogy (IAG) was founded in 1983 by Prof. Dr. Ariane Garlichs. The goal of the IAG's work was to counteract the trend of isolating subjects in teacher training for elementary school teachers. Another project of the IAG was the interdisciplinary coordination of projects with a common thematic framework, financed by the university.
