The professorship of the department is represented by Dr. Maximilian Schäfer since October 2023. The current focus of the department consists of research and teaching on the focus of social work and education. In teaching, topics and questions concerning the foundations of educational science in social work, inpatient child and youth work, and social pedagogical professionalism are discussed in particular.
