If you have completed two English 1 courses but failed the Module 1 exam, you are NOT REQUIRED to take any further English 1 courses, but you MAY take one for additional practice as you prepare to retake the Module 1 exam, if you wish.
Since there will not be a separate second round of registration in the Winter Semester 2026–27, students in this situation are invited to go ahead and register for an English 1 course of their choice. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Please also note that if you failed the Module 1 exam, you are not permitted to register for English 2 courses because you have not yet completed the module.
If you failed the Module 1 exam and would like to review your exam paper with a Sprachpraxis instructor, you should contact the module coordinator, Dawn Nichols, by email. She will help you schedule an appointment with the relevant instructor.
