If you have completed two English 1 Studienleistungen but failed the the Module 1 exam, you are NOT REQUIRED to take any further English 1 classes, but you MAY take one for further practice as you prepare to retake the Module 1 exam if you wish.
Since there will not be a separate second round of registrations in the Winter Semester 2026-27, students who are in this position are invited to go ahead and register for an English 1 course of their choice. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Please note also that if you failed the Module 1 exam, you are not permitted to register for English 2 courses because you have not completed the module yet.
If you failed the Module 1 exam and would like to go through your exam paper with a Sprachpraxis lecturer, you should contact the module coordinator, Dawn Nichols, by email. She will help you make an appointment with the relevant lecturer.
