Information for students who failed the Module 1 exam

If you have completed two English 1 Studienleistungen but failed the the Module 1 exam, you are NOT REQUIRED to take any further English 1 classes, but you MAY take one or more for further practice as you prepare to retake the Module 1 exam if you wish. In this case, you MUST wait until the second round of registrations for the WS2025/26, which begins at 8am on 17 October 2025.

You should NOT attempt to sign up for an English course in the first round of registrations. If you do so, your registration will be deleted and you will have to re-register in the second round. This causes us extra administrative work and is a waste of your time, so please wait until the second round.

Please note also that if you failed the Module 1 exam, you are not permitted to register for English 2 courses because you have not completed the module yet.
