On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. in the large lecture hall of the Old University in Marburg, the Rudolf Bultmann Prize for Hermeneutics 2018 will be presented to Dr. David Congdon, Princeton/USA.
The prize is awarded in cooperation with the Rudolf Bultmann Society for Hermeneutical Theology e.V., the Rudolf Bultmann Institute for Hermeneutics at the University of Marburg and the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck. Prof. Dr. Malte Krüger (University of Marburg) and Pröpstin Katrin Wienold-Hocke (Sprengel Kassel) will speak, Prof. Dr. Paul-Gerhard Klumbies (University of Kassel) will honor the award winner. The subsequent ceremonial lecture "Hermeneutic Theology Today" will be given by Prof. Dr. Ulrich H.J. Körtner (University of Vienna).

Excursion Israel
In the footsteps of Jesus
A Bible walking seminar in Israel for students of theology.
From February 9-16, 2018, Prof. Klumbies will be hosting a field trip to Israel. A prerequisite for participation in the trip is attendance at the seminar "Israel in the Time of Jesus" in the winter semester 2017/18, Thursdays from 8-10 am.
The trip price will be just under 1500,- Euro.
