Córdoba

Exhibitions on life forms of the original population of South America in smaller Argentinian museums are often based on private collections of archaeological objects. In the province of Córdoba, they therefore show certain similarities regarding the objects on display but set different accents in their representations and narratives.

As museums in knowledge societies are important places for communicating historical and social concepts, this project focuses on the different narratives of the exhibitions. In addition, we are interested in the extent to which forms of knowledge generation and much-discussed concepts such as "patrimonio" ("cultural heritage") or "sustainability" are addressed in the museum arrangements and educational offerings.
