Research

In addition to the conception of the Teaching-Learning-Laboratory Sports Education and the development of the ViSpo video database, research studies are also being carried out. Based on the central objective of supporting student teachers in developing their professional competence and using reflective, video-supported case work, three externally funded empirical studies have been carried out to date.

The questions addressed here focus on the (video) case work, the effects achieved by the participants and the event formats. Two of the three studies also resulted in doctorates in the subject (Thissen, 2019; Hillebrand, 2024). The research work is summarized below.
