One focus of research work in recent years has been in the area of cooperation between kindergartens, schools and sports clubs. A commissioned study by the Hessian Sports Youth concerned the evaluation of structural and process characteristics in the cooperation program between kindergarten and sports clubs ("More movement in kindergarten"; Scheid, 2010).

The work in the school context relates primarily to the Hessian state program "Talent Search - Talent Promotion". The scientific accompanying research began with an analysis of the structural and networking features of the state program (Scheid, Eppinger & Adolph, 2007), followed by a study on the quality development of the "Partner Schools of Competitive Sports" (Creutzburg & Scheid, 2014). Most recently, the focus was on organized sport, whereby the structural characteristics and quality development in the cooperation between sports clubs, professional associations and schools were analyzed (Scheid, Thissen, Julius, Albert; 2015-2018).

Based on experiential education work on team development in physical education (Volk, Wegner & Scheid, 2014), an impact analysis of the "stark bewegt" program was subsequently carried out in the work area. The experiential education program is aimed at primary school teachers (e.g. Pögl & Scheid, 2020).
