We are currently seeking a student assistant to support our team on a research project in the field of facade photovoltaics and the solar energy potential of buildings. The project involves developing new software that can automatically identify suitable facade surfaces and evaluate them for their solar energy potential.

For this role, an interest in and/or basic knowledge of several of the following areas is helpful: photovoltaics and solar thermal energy, working with common PV calculators, Archicad, the scientific processing and structuring of data, and programming. An interest in the use of AI-based tools is also welcome.

Candidates should demonstrate an independent and reliable work ethic, as well as a passion for research and the clear presentation of information. This position is particularly aimed at students who plan to pursue a master’s degree in Kassel after completing their BPS or who are already enrolled in a master’s program.
