Compact seminar in three parts + interim supervision

In the "Narrative" seminar, new formats for communicating project content with MR Technology are taught and tested 1:1. The participating students acquire knowledge of hybrid representation- and MR techniques, which they then apply directly to their own projects. Further information to be announced via Moodle.

This Seminar is suitable for MA students and BA students starting in their 4th semester or later.

Prerequisites: software knowledge (& proficiency) in Rhino3D, Grasshopper, & Adobe CC.

This Seminar can be combined with the Projekt „Communal Washing Faktory“ as Profilprojekt for the Master Specialization DR - Focus department of design and building theory.

The seminar goal to learn and employ MR representations (that combine digital and physical artifacts as a hybrid approach) to create a unique narrative for each “Communal Water Factory” studio project. Key ideas and qualities in each project design are investigated by creating animated storyboards, MR spatial experiences in 1:1 MR, and interactive presentations. Techniques for MR hybrid representations with animation sequences are applied to form a story about each project.
