Mobility Lab Integrated Transport Planning (MobLab-IV)

The Mobility Lab Integrated Transport Planning (MobLab-IV) is an innovative educational initiative designed to transform transport planning from a traditional, sectoral approach into an integrated, holistic design technique.

Currently, transport education often suffers from a lack of integrated materials, forcing students to passively work through tedious technical regulations in isolation. This often leads to fragmented planning where infrastructure may function for vehicles but fails to address the needs of pedestrians, the environment, or the municipal budget.

MobLab-IV bridges this gap by developing an interactive learning platform serving as a professional "sandbox" that allows students to experiment with roads and transportation networks in real-time. This approach reduces the fear of complexity and allows students to see the immediate impact of their creative ideas on safety, cost, and accessibility, fostering the critical thinking skills required by the modern transport industry. To enhance engagement, the project incorporates gamification and iterative problem-solving.  By utilizing game-design elements such as progression, rewards, and interactive challenges, the learning process becomes an active and playful experience situated within a dense professional context.
