On February 8, 2023, for the first time, a total of eight master's students of business education received a certificate for the enterprise software SAP S/4HANA, which certifies their acquired competencies for the use of the system in the operational and teaching context. The students acquired the specialist and methodological knowledge required for this as part of the course "Business Didactics 3: Project on Business Teaching/Learning Processes in the Professional Field of Business and Administration" (seminar leader: Melanie Keßeler and Marian Thiel de Gafenco) with a seminar focus on enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, which include SAP S/4HANA. The innovative seminar concept and the possibility of certification are the result of the research and development work of the Department of 'Business Education with a Focus on Professional Teaching and Learning' (Prof. Dr. J. Klusmeyer) in the PRONET-D project, which aims to develop digitization-related competencies of student teachers at the University of Kassel. On behalf of the participating teachers and students, the department would like to take this opportunity to thank the SAP4school IUS initiative for its cooperation in developing and providing the technical infrastructure and learning materials for schools and universities.
