Philipp Händel, together with a team from Heidelberg University, completed a research trip to Tanzania from March 1 to April 2, 2020. Supported by the University of Dar Es Salaam and the Tanzania Fisheries Research Institute (TAFIRI), they conducted a series of experiments with fishermen on the Tanzanian coast of Lake Victoria. The results will contribute to a better understanding of fishermen's motivations and decision-making processes and the development of effective governance strategies for sustainable fisheries.
