On November 12, 2020, the German-Chinese online format of the Hesse-China network (NetWoCon) took place. The digital conference addressed current topics in the Sino-German partnership in times of the Corona Pandemic. 

In four thematic blocks (Smart Mobility, Smart Business Sport, Smart Personal and Digitalization) the impact of the pandemic on our economy and society was explained. As part of the event, Prof. Dr. Leimeister gave a presentation on "Education and training after Covid-19 - what are the opportunities and risks for the education industry" and presented the latest trends and innovations in the education market. In particular, Prof. Dr. Leimeister also presented findings from the BMBF-funded project KoLeArn, which deals in particular with education and training in the Chinese market. 

During the conference, there was intensive discussion about the opportunities and potential that digitization offers for the education market and why the Covid-19 crisis is acting as a catalyst for this further development.
