On November 12, 2020, the German-Chinese online format of the Hesse-China Network (NetWoCon) took place. The digital conference focused on current topics in the Sino-German partnership in times of the coronavirus pandemic.

The effects of the pandemic on our economy and society were explained in four thematic blocks (Smart Mobility, Smart Business Sport, Smart Personal and Digitalization). As part of the event, Prof. Dr. Leimeister gave a lecture on "Education and training after Covid-19 - what opportunities and risks arise for the education industry" and presented the latest trends and innovations in the education market. In particular, Prof. Dr. Leimeister also presented findings from the BMBF-funded KoLeArn project, which is particularly concerned with education and training in the Chinese market.

During the conference, there was intensive discussion about the opportunities and potential that digitalization offers for the education market and why the Covid-19 crisis is acting as a catalyst for this further development.
