This summer, Ernestine Dickhaut and Dr. Andreas Janson conducted a research stay at the School of Information Systems and Management in the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida (USF) at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Alan Hevner and Prof. Dr. Gert-Jan de Vreede.

During their stay, they conducted research around the topics of codification of design knowledge and the reusability of interdisciplinary knowledge, among others.

Beyond the research residency, both also participated in the DESRIST conference (International Conference on Design Science Research in Information Systems and Technology). Ernestine Dickhaut presented a joint paper with Dr. Andreas Janson and Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister. The paper "Analyzing Design Knowledge Representation in Design Science Research and Deriving Recommendations to Support Design Knowledge Codification" analyzes how design science research projects codify design knowledge and derives recommendations for future projects.
