Professor Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister, Head of the Department of Information Systems and Director of the Scientific Center for Information Technology Design (ITeG) at the University of Kassel, will be presenting at the upcoming International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2019 from 15.-18 December 2019 in Munich will hold the position of Program Chair (together with Professor Wai Fong Boh/Nanyang Technological University and Professor Sunil Wattal/Temple University). The International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) is an A-rated conference (VHB-Jourqual 3) and the most important conference in the field of information systems in the world. It is organized by the Association for Information Systems(AIS).

The venue of this conference changes annually between the continents, the upcoming event will take place in turn in the AIS "Region" 2 Europe/Middle East/Africa. For the first time in its nearly 40-year history, this prestigious conference will now be held in Germany . At the same time, this ICIS will celebrate an anniversary as 40. ICIS conference (the first ICIS took place in 1980 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania/USA).
