The Annual Report 2019 of the Department of Information Systems (Prof. Dr. Jan Marco Leimeister) at the University of Kassel has recently been published. It provides insights into research, teaching and other activities of the department, which can look back on another very successful year 2019. Special highlights in 2019 were the International Conference on Information Systems(ICIS) 2019 in Munich with leading participation of the department, the excellent performance in the research ranking of the Wirtschaftswoche at the beginning of 2019 and the publication of the new edition of the department textbook "Service Engineering and Management"(DEM). Newly acquired or extended research projects - among others funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Research Foundation(DFG) - with correspondingly acquired third-party funds, the presence at all relevant national and international business informatics conferences as well as a total of 56 publications in 2019 are further keywords.
