Bio  (M.Sc. Lena Hortsch)

Lena Hortsch is a research fellow and doctoral candidate at the Chair of Environmental and Behavioral Economics. After earning her bachelor’s degree in economics in 2021, she obtained master’s degrees in Sustainability Economics and Economic Behavior and Governance at the University of Kassel while working at the Chair of Environmental and Behavioral Economics. Following her graduation in 2023, she moved to Paderborn University, where she worked as a research fellow in behavioral economics for two and a half years. Her research focuses on behavioral measures to promote sustainable behavior, particularly the role of social norms in dietary decisions, group behavior, and in the context of polarization.
